IAA Cars is opening a new chapter in its history. The major international car show has been going on since the very beginning of the automotive industry with its first edition held back in 1897 and showed only 8 cars. IAA has since transformed into one of the biggest and most influential events worldwide and now it’s embracing the future. IAA Cars is now transformed into IAA Mobility – a trade show, which is at the forefront of greener, digital mobility technology and solutions. The product group explore more than coupés, station wagons, SUVs, off-road vehicles and super sports cars. Visitors can also experience connected and autonomous driving, electromobility, alternative drives, urban and digital mobility concepts. Citizens can get the most out of these concepts at The Blue Line located in downtown Frankfurt.
IAA Mobility takes place over the course of six days in early fall. Editions are scheduled every two years around September and IAA Mobility is held on odd years, whereas its sister event IAA Commercial Vehicles on even years. Verband der Automobilindustrie – VDA – serves as the official organiser of the international trade fair and Messe Frankfurt houses proceedings each year. Admission is given to both professionals in the mobility industry and private visitors, who come with their families to enjoy the future of transportation and mobility. Be sure to check the working times ahead of time for opening and closing hours. Messe Frankfurt is well serviced by the city’s vast public transport system. You can reach the exhibition grounds via the metro 4 line, the S3, S4 & S6 suburban train lines and the 16 & 17 tram lines. This means you have an easy commute from every point in Frankfurt, Germany.
