IFFA enjoys special attention from industry insiders because it is one of the pivotal events for the meat sector. Editions are organised on a three-year basis and usually fall somewhere around May. They compensate with a more extensive program, as editions run for six days.
Messe Frankfurt doubles its responsibility as the official organiser of IFFA and the venue. Only trade visitors are admitted. Working hours are from 09:00 until 18:00. IFFA 2022
The 2022 edition of IFFA signified the successful restart of the trade fair after a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic. The face-to-face edition occurred between 14.05.2022 and 19.05.2022 in Messe Frankfurt. Due to the improved epidemiological situation in Germany, the venue did not implement strict Covid-19 safety measures, such as the 3G entry policy. IFFA 2022 was a highly international edition, as 72% of the trade visitors and 58% of the exhibitors represented foreign countries. On 115,000 m2 of event space, around 50,000 visitors from 129 nations and 860 exhibitors from 44 countries networked and examined innovations.
IFFA 2025
The 2025 edition of IFFA was a live trade fair held between 03.05.2025 and 8.05.2025. It took place in Messe Frankfurt. The event was attended by over 1,000 exhibitors from 52 countries, 63,117 visitors from 144 nations, and approximately 100 speakers. Of the visitors group, 74% were from foreign countries, 98% achieved their goals, 95% were pleased with the exhibitor wares and 87% expect the industry development to be stable or improving.
