Interplastica & COVID
COVID-19 might have forced organizers to cancel the 2021 edition of Interplastica, but plans are already in motion to get the major plastics trade show back in person and better than ever. Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and Messe Düsseldorf Moskau are in close collaboration to organize a physical edition that meets all health and safety standards. The new dates have been announced for January 25th – January 28th. The exhibition grounds at Expocentre Fairgrounds Moscow will follow strict coronavirus protective measures to ensure a strong reboot for the plastics sector in Russia. Trade shows and exhibitions are one of the most important ways for companies to conduct business and no pandemic is going to change that.
Interplastica first debuted in 1988 and in the beginning served mostly as a meeting point for the active players in the Russian plastics market. However, very soon it expanded and became very attractive to foreign manufacturers and buyers. Now, Interplastica creates the ideal environment for exhibitors to break into new geographic regions and raise their international profile. Another very important point to make is that the international trade fair represents the entire processing chain for plastic and rubber products. You’ll discover basic materials, semi-finished products, plastic production machinery, processing machinery, finished products, accessories, logistics and storage technologies.
Interplastica is brought to the Russian market by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH with coordinated effort by Messe Düsseldorf Moskau. The international plastics trade fair operates out of EXPOCENTRE in Moscow, Russia and is open only to professional visitors. Editions are typically held towards the end of January and co-run alongside upakovka, which is a member of the interpack alliance. Interplastica is held on an annual basis and lasts for a total of four days. Working hours are from 10:00 in the morning until 18:00 in the afternoon on the first three days. Closing time on the fourth day is 16:00 in the afternoon. Now let’s talk about logistics. EXPOCENTRE is located inside one of the busiest areas in Moscow so you can count on a robust public transportation system. By far the easiest way to get around is to ride the Moscow subway and you’ll discover there are many stations next to the exhibition grounds.
