Stationery lovers will have to wait four more months for the 2021 edition of Paperworld, and even so, it will be online. The digital event will run on April 20th. The cycle of events will resume from January 29th to February 1st, 2022 at the Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany.

Paperworld – sometimes written as Paperworld Frankfurt – is the premier international trade fair for everything paper-related from stationery to office supplies. The trade fair first came onto the scene in 1997 and was a runaway success from the start as a meeting point between professionals and manufacturing in stationary, writing instruments and office supplies.

You have established brand manufacturers and international newcomers all competing with innovative products across numerous categories including school supplies, small leather goods, templates, drawing materials, drawing instruments, ink cartridges, envelopes, felt pens, copiers, copy paper, decorative films, writing instruments, highlighters, inkjet paper and labels. Although smartphones and computers are omnipresent, the paper industry is as relevant as ever thanks to resurgence in use of notebooks and lifestyle preferences towards sustainability. This positions Paperworld in the centre of a much needed change and traces emerging trends.

As you might have guessed from its name, Paperworld is staged in Frankfurt, Germany and comes around every year at the start of the calendar year. This means that editions usually arrive in the latter part of January and last for a total of four days. Paperworld is co-located with two other related events – Creativeworld & Christmasworld.

Messe Frankfurt fills out the dual responsibility of being the official organiser and the hosting venue. Trade visitors can walk through the halls from 09:00 am in the morning until 18:00 pm in the afternoon on the first three days, and until 17:00 pm on the last day. Driving to Messe Frankfurt poses no challenge, but in case you want to use public transport – you have plenty of options. Frankfurt has one of the best public transport systems, so you’re spoiled for choice. You can take metro line 4, trams 16 and 17, and the S3, S4 and S6 suburban train lines.
