Exhibitions in Aberdeen, UK for Oil & Gas

Aberdeen has long been the backbone of the UK’s oil and gas industry to the point it functions as the premier port for oil and gas operations in Europe. We’re talking over 50 years of expertise in marine logistics. The Port of Aberdeen continues to play a crucial role in supporting offshore energy activities from exploration and production to decommissioning. However, as the industry shifts towards decarbonization and sustainable energy solutions, Aberdeen has taken the needed steps for adapting to the expanding market for green technologies. Aberdeen’s prominence in the oil and gas industry has meant heavy investment in its facilities and today it has some of the best world-class infrastructure. The port boasts over 7,600 meters of quayside, accommodating vessels up to 300 meters in length. With 2,800 meters of deep-water berths and ultra-heavy-lift capabilities, the port is well-equipped to handle large-scale offshore energy projects. You can do anything on site—efficient vessel maintenance, long-term project support, and rapid turnarounds. A recent example of the port’s capabilities is its support for TechnipFMC’s Diving Support Vessels (DSVs). These vessels utilized Aberdeen South Harbour for winter maintenance and standby periods, and benefited from the port’s strategic location and proximity to key clients and supply chains. While the oil and gas industry remains central to Aberdeen’s economy, the industry is also navigating the transition to low-carbon energy. The Port of Aberdeen is actively supporting this shift by aligning with the North Sea Transition Deal—an initiative aimed at reducing emissions while ensuring energy security. One of the key steps in this transition is the integration of offshore wind and hydrogen energy projects. Aberdeen is capitalizing on its extensive experience in offshore operations to facilitate the growth of renewable energy solutions and ensure that it remains at the forefront of the evolving energy landscape.
