MEDICA 2023 and COMPAMED 2023 will be hosted at Messe Düsseldorf as live events. MEDICA will take place alongside COMPAMED between 13.11.2023 and 16.11.2023. The live exhibitions will not feature COVID-19 prevention measures due to the lifting of the related national regulations in April 2022. Germany also lifted its travel limitations in June 2022.

Travel times will vary depending on the used transport and your departure location. When travelling by bus from the airport, for example, you will arrive at the venue in 18 minutes. The same mode of transport will enable reaching the messe in 25 minutes from the central station. Furthermore, cities such as Neuss and Solingen are close to the exhibition centre. The S8 and IRE13 lines, for example, will enable you to reach the messe in 11 minutes from Neuss. Likewise, the S1 metro will enable you to reach the exhibition centre from Solingen in 22 minutes.

Past Editions 

2020 Edition

The MEDICA 2020 edition attracted professionals from drew a total of 169 countries. The fair's digital rendition took place between November 16th and November 19th 2020. It attracted 45 000 trade visitors and featured a total of 18 300 innovative products. A total of 1500 exhibitors showcased their wares. China, the United States, and Italy were among the countries represented. The rendition was deemed a success by both visitors and exhibitors.

2021 Edition

Between 15.11.2021 and 18.11.2021, COMPAMED 2021 and MEDICA 2021 were held in a hybrid format. The concurrent fairs were held in a two-part format. This included a live exposition with the venue featuring the latest COVID-19 prevention measures. They also took place online, using digital platforms that allowed attendees to participate from afar. Attendees were required to comply with several rules while participating in the live exhibition. Before entering the exhibition grounds, visitors had to show valid 3G documents. Over 46,000 visitors from 150 countries attended the 2021 editions of COMPAMED and MEDICA. Over 3,500 exhibitors from 70 countries were also present. Demonstrations of a new robotic device and process for mass-producing cultivated stem cells were among the highlights of the event.
