SANA Food 2026

Bologna, Italy is where SANA Food takes place every single year once summer draws to an end - usually editions are scheduled for early September. Activities continue for a total of four days and are open to both professional visitors and members of the public. Bologna Fiere is the official organiser and venue for SANA Food and working hours have been set from 09:00 am until 06:30 in the afternoon on the first three days and until 17:00 pm on closing day.

Wondering about commuting? Bologna Fiere finds itself in the city's heart near the Central Station, which makes getting to the exhibition grounds all the easier. From the central station you have two fast and reliable bus lines – #35 and #38. There are also regular connections to the airport.

We were not exaggerating when we said that organic meant business. SANA Food welcomes products from over 900 international exhibitors, and the halls fill with over 35,000 visitors. Last edition generated over 2500 business meetings, many of which came to a favourable conclusion.

Italian natives were predominant at Bologna Fiere because both the public and professionals were admitted. On the professional side, exhibitors had the opportunity to network with large retailers, food producers and distributors, specialized retailers, buyers, professional operators, experts, and influencers. Aside from commercial visitors, SANA Food was also frequented by private and public administrators, associations, and VIPs.

Sana 2021

The 2021 edition of the trade expo marked its successful comeback of the event, following the cancellation of the 2020 edition due to Covid-19. The event was held in conjunction with Cosmofarma Reazione and OnBeauty by Cosmoprof. Around 50 000 attendees and 1,150 brands visited the fair. This demonstrated the significance of in-person events for both exhibitors and visitors. The co-located Cosmofarma Reazione and OnBeauty by Cosmoprof events aided in enhancing synergies between the organic world and the product sectors of the other two events. It also assisted in the development of new business relationships and prospects.

Sana 2022

Sana 2022 featured a 50% increase in attendance, with around 75,000 attendees, including 150 buying specialists, visiting the live fair. They appraised the displayed wares of 700 exhibitors. Due to the lifting of the country's pandemic-related limitations, the venue, Bologna Fiere, did not apply Covid-19 safety precautions.

SANA 2023

Sana's 2023 edition took place as a live trade fair in Bologna Fiere between the dates 07.09.2023 and 10.09.2023. The event was hosted on an event space of 20,000 m2. The event featured 12,500 visitors, with 10% travelling from abroad, 200 purchasers from 30 nations and 650 exhibitors. 500 novel wares were presented and 2,000 B2B meetings were conducted during the rendition. 

SANA 2025

Sana Beauty 2025 took place alongside the 2025 edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna. The events were held in Bologna Fiera between 20.03.2025 and 23.03.2025 as live trade fairs. The event space had increased by 5.8% compared to the previous edition, thus permitting over 10 000 beauty trademarks to be presented by 3,128 exhibitors from 65 nations, with 78% of them from abroad. They were examined by more than 255,000 visitors from 150 countries (representing a 4.5% increase compared to the previous edition).
