Exhibitions in Guangzhou, China for Lighting

The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) 2024, themed ‘Light – The Power of Infinity,’ formed the beating heart of the lighting industry in Guangzhou and performed admirably as seen in the 3,383 exhibitors, which overtook over 260,000 square meters of exhibition space to lay out the full spectrum of lighting solutions. The theme ‘Light – The Power of Infinity’ spoke directly to the limitless potential of lighting technology. The 2024 edition highlighted the diverse applications of light, including the integration of Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), optical communication, big data, healthcare, lifestyle improvements, low carbon and new energy solutions, aquaculture, new media arts, and extended reality. This broad scope reflects the lighting industry’s evolution beyond traditional uses, pushing the boundaries of what light can achieve. Building on the foundation of traditional lighting exhibitions, GILE offers a more immersive experience through eight themed demonstration halls. The themes included Light + Lifestyle, Light + Aesthetics, Light + Art, Light + IoT, Light + Biology, Light + Agriculture, Light + Display, and Light + Energy. These curated spaces demonstrated the multifaceted nature of lighting technology and its applications across different industries. Smart lighting, driven by AIoT, emerged as a significant trend at the exhibition. This technology offers enhanced convenience, sustainability, and customization options for consumers. Full spectrum lighting and well-being lighting, designed to synchronize with natural circadian rhythms and reduce blue light exposure, were also prominent. The integration of biophilic design, using eco-friendly materials and recyclable components, reflects the industry's commitment to minimizing environmental impact and promoting sustainability. GILE 2024 also emphasized the importance of industry collaboration. The event aimed to foster connections among industry players. The introduction of precise matching services further supported this goal, helping exhibitors and visitors find synergies and work together towards achieving infinite applications of light.
