!!! Important !!! The 2020 edition of FESPA has been officially cancelled by the organisers due to coronavirus.
When we talk about FESPA we talk about FESPA Global Print Expo, which boasts about being the largest speciality and wide format print exhibition. It’s a platform where exhibitors deliver the next generation of trends and innovations for the printing industry and what’s special about this international exhibition is the wide net that it casts. The product portfolio is large enough to cover the entire value chain and is broken into three main segments – digital, textile and screen. In terms of specific product groups, FESPA oversees software, media, screen print equipment, consumable, fast fashion, garment decoration equipment, 3D printing and serigraphy. Add to this the fact that the exhibition has existed for 57 years, and you have a true powerhouse of an event at your hands.
FESPA Global Print Expo is the brainchild of FESPA, which is a global federation of 37 national associations for the screen printing, digital printing and textile printing community. Because of the international nature of the official organiser, the exhibition itself is not tied to a specific city either. Every year, a new city in Europe is chosen to act as host and for this upcoming edition that host is Madrid, Spain. FESPA Global Print Expo also usually takes place around March. The venue is going to be IFEMA Feria de Madrid, where the exhibition will also be co-located with European Sign Expo over the course of four days in total. Official sponsors for the event are Brother by Your Side, Mimaki and d.gen. Visitors are admitted from 10:00 am in the morning until 18:00 pm in the afternoon with the last ending at 16:00 pm.

Audience & Statistics
We’ve already mentioned how FESPA is good for business, but let’s put that into perspective in terms of numbers. Last edition saw 700 exhibitors showcase their products to audience that crossed 20,000 trade visitors. That’s a good ratio to have as an exhibitor, considering that it’s estimated that well above 60% of visitors were involved with purchasing decisions in their own company so that translates to procurement agents and management positions. In terms of the types of brands and companies that make an appearance, you have a great variety – sign makers, graphic makers, retailers, graphic producers, T-shirt printers, embroiders, graphic designers, interior decorators, marketers, print buyers and promotional production makers.
