Mobile World Congress 2026

GSMA brings the Mobile World Congress to Barcelona, Spain. The editions arrive every year at the end of February. Mobile World Congress 2021

The 2021 hybrid edition of MWC is among the fair's most successful renditions. The event occurred at the Barcelona - Gran Via and consisted of two aspects. It also received over 20,000 live visitors. Additionally, 1,500 CEOs and C-Suite Executives attended MWC21. Over 1000 exhibitors, sponsors, partners, and broadcasters visited the fair. So did more than 650 policymakers, regulators, government officials, and industry leaders. 

Mobile World Congress 2022

The 2022 hybrid rendition of the Mobile World Congress was the second held-during-the-pandemic edition. It took place as a face-to-face exhibition at the Barcelona - Gran Via with a digital platform as a complementary element. The edition featured representatives from around 200 countries who attended amidst strict Covid-19 safety measures. This included over 61,000 in-person visitors, over 1,600 international journalists and more than 1,000 speakers preregistering. They also had to wear face masks and upload 3G documents on the event's specialised app. The event also included more than 1,900 exhibitors, sponsors, and partners as well as around 500,000 virtual viewers. More than 50% of the participants were C-Suite executives or Directors. This included around 20% of the attendees being founders and CEOs, including many of the start-ups.

Mobile World Congress 2023

Mobile World Congress 2023 was held in Fira Barcelona - Gran Via as a live trade show and did not include coronavirus protections. This was due to the removal of the country's pandemic-related restrictions.  Over 88,500 visitors from 202 countries attended the edition, with over 40% representing related industries. More than 50% of the participants were directors or above, with 21% having a C-Suite executive position. Furthermore, over 2,400 exhibiting businesses, sponsors, and partners attended the event. The conference agenda featured over 1000 speakers, with over 40% from related industries. The Ministerial Programme featured 196 ministerial delegations from over 150 countries, including over 100 heads of regulatory agencies and approximately 70 ministers.

Mobile World Congress 2024

Mobile World Congress 2024 was a live trade fair hosted in Fira Barcelona - Gran Via. It featured the wares of over 2,700 exhibitors and lectures hosted by more than 1,100 speakers. They were overviewed by more than 101,000 visitors from 205 nations and over 2,600 journalists. 51% of the attending were directors including 21% who were C-level. Additionally, 59% of the visitors represented core-mobile-ecosystem-adjacent industries The GSMA Ministerial Programme was attended by over 180 delegations from 140 countries that included more than 70 ministers and over 40 intergovernmental organisations. They also featured 2 leaders of state and around 120 regulatory authority leaders. 

Mobile World Congress 2025

MWC 2025 was attended by 109,000 visitors from 205 countries and over 2,900 journalists who overviewed more than 2,900 exhibitors and an excess of 1,200 speakers. In addition, the event's GSMA Ministerial Programme featured 188 delegations from 148 nations and its 4YFN features over 1,000 startup exhibitors, approximately 380 speakers and more than 900 investors. The latter's total funding values reached 60 billion euros. Of the visitor group, 56% were from core mobile ecosystem related industries, 21% were C-Suite executives (including 50% being directors and above). The event's keynotes and live sessions also received around half a million unique views through the MWC website, app, and media platforms.
