Wire arrives in Düsseldorf, Germany every two years during the first quarter and shares one space with Tube – the trade fair dedicated to tube and pipe technology. Both events last for a total of five days and are held between late March and early April. Messe Düsseldorf serves as both the venue and the organiser, while wire receives support from a number of organisations from Europe and the US: ACIMAF, IWCEA, IWMA and WCISA.
Admission is given to professional visitors only, and opening hours are from 09:00 am until 18:00 pm on the first four days. The last day ends at 16:30 pm.
We also have to talk about commuting to Messe Düsseldorf. From the city centre, you can take a bus (722) and the tram (lines U78 and U79). There’s also the convenient shuttle bus service that connects you from the airport to the exhibition grounds.
The numbers for Wire are continuously improving with each new edition. The last edition saw more than 1400 exhibitors from 50 countries showcase, while the audience increase to over 42,000 trade visitors in total. The international exhibition is highly international, with only a third of all visitors being German nationals. The rest come predominantly from Europe, then followed by Asian and American markets. The countries with the biggest concentration of visitors include Italy, India, Spain, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States, Russia and Poland.
Visitors are often in high-ranking positions in their company, which means either having full or partial decision-making powers. Looking into the variety of industry backgrounds shows buyers from the iron, steel and non-ferrous metal industry; automotive supply industry; electrical industry, construction industry, trade, technical specialist retail trade; skilled trades and chemical industry.
Wire 2022
Wire 2022 coincided with Tube and METAV 2022 and marked the successful restart of the trade fairs. The editions were held between 20.06.2022 and 24.06.2022 as face-to-face trade shows in Messe Düsseldorf. The rendition featured 1,822 exhibitors from over 50 nations. 75% of the visitors who attended from 140 countries were leading decision-makers. 70% of them were also from abroad.
Wire 2024
Wire and Tube Düsseldorf 2024 were hosted between 15.04.2024 and 19.04.2024 in Messe Düsseldorf. They were attended by over 2,700 exhibitors from 65 countries on more than 119,000 m2.
