Airport Show & COVID

The 2023 edition of the event will be in a live format between 09.05.2023-11.05.2023. An extensive COVID-19 safety plan will be implemented by the organisers at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The safety plan will include mandatory face masks, social distancing, daily visitor flow control as well as frequent sanitation. Attendees will be advised to perform regular hand hygiene as well as to pre-register. They will also have to maintain an interpersonal distance of 2 metres at all times. Due to the travel restrictions, they will have to present upon arrival in the UAE documents such as proof of recovery.

Introduction

The Airport Show was created to service the global airports industry and service the MENA region and the Indian subcontinent. It’s been instrumental in creating a dynamic, thriving environment for the exchange of ideas and creation of business opportunities. The international trade show has managed to position itself as an industry leader in just 20 years since its founding in 2001. Going to the Airport Show means seeing the whole value chain – airport construction, operation, technology and services – all in one place. The product portfolio includes contactless technologies, artificial intelligence, biometrics, clean mobility solutions ensuring hygiene and safety of passengers. And these are only the technological advancements related to the pandemic. Come and enjoy the best speakers across discussions, seminars and networking events.

Logistics

Dubai, UAE hosts editions of the Airport Show every single year during the month of May. Reed Exhibitions Middle East creates an incredible support program and gathers the best exhibitors in the world for three whole days at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC). This is a professional event only and working hours are scheduled for 10:00 in the morning until 18:00 in the afternoon on all three days. Now let’s talk about how to commute to the DWTC. The exhibition centre has a great location in the beating heart of the city and a lot of ways to get there. If you want to avoid the heat, then rely on Dubai’s metro system to get you there in no time. In addition, there are several bus lines servicing the Dubai World Trade Center. Last but not least, try out the Dubai Taxi system when in a hurry. One of the best and most regulated in the world.

What Are People Saying?

• “Everyone who came to the show was outstandingly happy to meet each other again. There were a lot of important conversations during the face-to-face meetings. Business-wise too it was quite encouraging. Several national and international companies as well as regional buyers showed confidence and came in significantly big number considering the travel restrictions around the globe. The exhibitors got good business leads that may soon turn into agreements,” – Daniyal Qureshi, Group Exhibition Director at Reed Exhibitions Middle East;

• “It is quite an interesting time for the aviation sector. The global situation is improving slowly but Middle Eastern countries are showing eagerness to get ready for the future. The show was successful as it brought international players to Dubai who wanted to create synergy with the local and regional players,” – Rocco Marcuccio, Managing Advisor of Air Tech Italy (ATI);
