BAU and Covid-19

In 2023, Messe Munich GmbH will host BAU as a live trade show. The dates for the latest edition have been set: 17.04.2023 to 22.04.2023 at Messe Munich. The exhibition grounds will use the most up-to-date and stringent coronavirus protection measures to ensure participant safety. The safety measures will include safeguards like social distancing, an entry policy and mandatory PPE. Participants must adhere to the 1.5-metre social distance policy and wear FFP2 face masks at all times. The masks must always cover their mouth and nose and can be removed in instances such as outdoor areas where the mentioned safe distance is maintained. At all times, they must avoid physical acts of networking such as handshakes and perform hand hygiene as often as necessary. Before admission to BAU 2023, attendees will be required to show documents such as proof of recovery due to the current entry policy. Such documentation must also be shown upon arrival in Germany because of the travel restrictions.

Looking forward to the innovative ideas and solutions in building and architecture? BAU is the ideal international trade fair dedicated to developments, breakthroughs and new approaches where experienced exhibitors will show you the future of the building sector. You have a wealth of new products and machinery on display – insulation materials, architectural services, building security, construction planning, building maintenance, building management and solar panels among many others.

  • The 2019 edition saw the inclusion of a new section that focuses on building technologies.
  • digitalBAU has been recently announced as a separate event to take place every two years in Cologne from 2020.
  • The audience has grown to over 250,000 professionals – this promises a high return on investment.

Munich, Germany has been the host city and editions fall on every odd year with a program that runs for six days straight. Messe Munich GmbH doubles functions as both the organiser and venue where BAU takes place. Doors open at 09:30 in the morning and trade visitors are given entrance until 06:00 in the afternoon.
