Exhibitions in Southampton, UK for Yachting

The yachting industry in Southampton has been growing at exceptional rates, which has caused an acute demand for skilled workers. Although a definite challenge for the local sector, it created a window of opportunity for Yotspot, a Southampton-based recruitment company catering to the luxury yachting industry, to expand, which it did by doubling its headquarters at the Ocean Village Innovation Centre (OVIC) in Ocean Village Marina. The move comes as the company seeks to bolster its position as the leading international jobs board in the superyacht sector. For a long time, the city has been a desired berthing destination for yacht owners and charter companies alike. With a keen eye on the future, co-owner Daryl Bradley expressed the company’s plans to elevate Yotspot to new heights, citing the need to accommodate the growing demand for top-tier talent in the luxury yachting industry. Yotspot’s exponential growth sends a clear signal that the yachting industry in Southampton has more than recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past year alone, the firm has facilitated placements for 1,500 crew members, often with lightning-fast turnaround times, ensuring that luxury yachts are fully staffed and ready to set sail at a moment’s notice. Since its inception in 2010, Yotspot has posted over 150,000 vacancies, which cemented its position as a trusted partner in the superyacht industry. The decision to expand its headquarters at OVIC reflects Yotspot’s confidence in Southampton’s growing yachting ecosystem. Stephen Deller, OVIC's centre manager, lauded Yotspot's continued expansion and emphasized the substantial opportunities present in the global luxury yacht market. With projections indicating a meteoric rise in market value, reaching nearly $13 billion within the next decade, Yotspot is strategically positioned to capitalize on the industry’s upward trajectory and establish its dominance as a frontrunner in yacht crew recruitment.
