Messe Essen will host the 54th edition of Essen Motor Show as a live event. Germany's largest motor show will take place between December 3rd and December 11th 2022 with a preview day on December 2nd. Messe Essen will feature COVID-19 prevention measures in full compliance with the latest Government regulations. This will include a 3G entry policy, social distancing regulations as well as mandatory wearing of masks. Participants must show valid 3G entry documents before entering the exhibition grounds. They must also maintain a social distance of 1.5 metres among each other to avoid congestions and infections.
Essen Motor Show is an international trade fair for the automobile and motor sports industries.
With more than 550 exhibitors from around the world, about 352,000 visitors from more than 38 countries, and a growing number of major manufacturers like BMW, Citroën Motorsport, Ford, Peugeot, Opel, Renault Motorsport, Skoda, Mercedes-Benz, the show is one the world’s largest and most influential events in its field.
The next edition of the motor trade fair in Essen will take place from 28 November to 6 December, featuring its usual five segments: Sporty series vehicles, Motor sports, Tuning, Classic cars, and Motorcycles.

Between November 26th and December 5th, 2021 the special edition of the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW took place. The format of the event was face-to-face, with strict COVID-19 prevention measures in place. Among the implemented safety measures was a strict 3G entry policy. This included attendees having to show vaccination passports, negative test results or proof of recovery before entering the venue. The edition received despite the ongoing pandemic around 100,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors.
