Covid-19 Update

Fensterbau Frontale 2022 will take place as a live exhibition between 12.07.2022 – 15.07.2022. The trade fair has been postponed due to the pandemic. The hosting venue for the edition will be Messe Nuremberg. The exhibition centre will feature a strict COVID-19 prevention plan. The Holz-Handwerk will coincide with the edition. Among the implemented safety measures will be the following:

  • Attendees must maintain several regulations during their attendance. This includes maintaining a social distance of 1.5 metres at all times. Also, they must wear FFP2 masks (visitors) or surgical masks (exhibitors). Additionally, participants must perform regular hand sanitation and adhere to the coughing etiquette.
  • As part of the safety measures, Messe Nuremberg will feature various changes. Among them is the implementation of expanded meeting and waiting spaces. This will be done to avoid congestions during the event. Furthermore, the venue will undergo disinfections every few hours. Special emphasis will be placed on high-touch areas. These include handrails and door handles.

Fensterbau Frontale is one of the most significant international trade fairs for windows, facades and doors, and their associated technologies and solutions on a global level. The trade fair has an official start in 1988, but has deeper roots in recent post-war Germany when the procurement of any materials, tools and machinery for window manufacturers were scarce.

Right now, Fensterbau Frontale exists as an industry leader in the industry and a major procurement platform. The product portfolio is broken into five major categories – glass (window panes, glass products), hardware (doors and safety equipment), machines (manufacturing machinery and tools), profile (elements, semi-finished products, materials and components) and technical information.

Fensterbau Frontale is an official trade fair organised by NürnbergMesse GmbH and held at their exhibition grounds in Nuremberg, Germany. Editions have been on a steady biennial rotation and fall on even years. The trade fair is sponsored by three of influential professional associations in Germany - Fachverband Glas Fenster Fassade Baden-Württemberg, Landesinnungsverband des Glaserhandwerks Rheinland-Pfalz and Landesinnungsverband des Bayerischen Glaserhandwerks.

Editions usually take place around March and last for four days in total. Messe Nuremberg admits visitors from 10:00 am in the morning until 18:00 pm in the afternoon with the last day concluding at 17:00 pm. The exhibition grounds are located relatively close to the centre and enjoy adequate connections to public transport with several bus lines and a metro station within walking distance.

What Can You Expect as an Exhibitor?

  • You’re in good company as Fensterbau Frontale is a high-profile event with only the most important companies showcasing their products;
  • An opportunity for cross-sales given that the trade fair shares the show floor with the Holz-Handwerk trade fair servicing the woodwork sector;
  • Deep market penetration as previous polls reveal near 100% exhibitor satisfaction levels in terms of identifying and meeting with their target audiences;
  • Excellent returns on investment as exhibitors report a high number of direct sales as well as growing their professional networks with high-quality contacts.

Audience & Statistics

It’s time to back all these claims with the relevant statistics. According to organisers, last edition saw product displays and demonstrations from over 1300 exhibitors in total, which resulted in an interest from over 110,000 international trade visitors.

Although three fourths of all visitors were from Germany, the remainder come from a diverse background – 123 countries in total, covering most of Europe and also spreading towards Asia, North Africa and the Americas.

Another key area to keep your focus on is the breakdown in professional background. The types of professionals and firms you’ll see at Fensterbau Frontale include architects, carpenters, window manufacturers, façade builders and retailers.
