HEATEC & COVID-19
CIBB is heartbroken to announce HEATEC 2021 has been cancelled due to a recent pneumonia epidemic, which alongside the coronavirus pandemic makes holding large events dangerous. The Chinese government is currently restricting indoor activities, and organisers place visitor safety above all else. HEATEC will return in the summer of 2022 – the official dates have already been selected for July 27th – July 29th. One major change is that the trade show will move to Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC) instead for one year only. Organisers promise a safe environment at SNIEC with all the necessary COVID-19 protective measures and health protocols.
HEATEC is the major business centre for heating technology. The international trade fair has been running since the beginning of the 2000s and in that time positioned itself as the leading event on the territory of Asia; not just China. As an exhibitor, you have a chance to introduce yourself to the entire East and China is not to be ignored as it’s currently one of the most competitive markets in the entire world. The trade show is best known for its extensive product portfolio. The exhibition centre showcases advancements in boilers & waste heat recovery technology, biomass energy products, boiler parts & ancillary products, burners & thermal equipment, boiler replacement products, boiler manufacturing equipment & raw materials, energy saving and emission reduction technology. HEATEC gears towards the needs of the B2B sector and presents excellent face-to-face networking opportunities. Product launches are also quite successful.
HEATEC arrives every year in Shanghai, China towards the beginning of winter. The international trade show lasts for three days in late November. Editions are organised by CIBB in collaboration with SIBRI and hosted at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Tickets are sold only to trade visitors and buyers. Working hours are 09:00 in the morning until 16:30 in the early afternoon. On the last day, programming wraps two hours early at 14:30. SNIEC is strategically located in the busy Pudong New Area of Shanghai and has the best connections to public transport. All this is thanks to Longyang Road Station, which can be reached on foot in under 10 minutes. The station is a stop for busses, the metro and maglev. There’s also another neighboring station –Hua Mu Road Station, which you can reach via Metro Line 7 in minutes. Commuting is easy no matter where you stay in the city.
What You Can Expect as an Exhibitor
• A commitment to modern solutions. The coronavirus pandemic has sparked organisers’ interest into a hybrid model and now HEATEC is preparing to debut an online broadcast of the entire show called HEATEC LIVE.
• HEATEC also prioritizes the exchange of expertise and information. Every edition has an in-depth support program, which consists of technical seminars and forums. The goal is to explore emerging trends as well as figure out sustainable ways to deal with current pain points. What are the major challenges? What are effective strategies to deal with them? Meet with the top experts in all related fields to learn what’s new.
