InnoTrans and Covid-19
Transport professionals will have to wait until 2022 to attend InnoTrans in person. The popular transport trade fair was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic. Organisers have opted to return in 20.09.2023 - 23.09.2022. This will ensure that the live event will take place without unwelcome health risks. The latest preventive measures will be put in place at the venue. The Covid-19 prevention measures will include a 3G entry policy and social distancing regulations. Attendees must present 3G entry documents before entering the trade show. Negative test results, proof of recovery, and immunization certificates are valid entry documents.
Established first in 1996, InnoTrans has brought new life to the railway transport industry and is a worldwide phenomenon, where some of the biggest deals are closed, and cutting-edge innovations are presented. You will find that the entire value chain has been successfully represented in great depth once you take a look at the themed areas.
Exhibitors can set the trends in the following areas - Public Transport, Tunnel Construction, Railway Infrastructure, Railway Technology as well as Interiors, which is a shared space with Travel Catering & Comfort Services. It’s this breadth and depth in the product portfolio, as well as the commitment to furthering the field, that decisively confirms InnoTrans as a must-see affair!
InnoTrans follows a biennial schedule, and editions fall on odd years. Organised by Messe Berlin and held at Berlin ExpoCenter City, the international trade show is a staple in Berlin, Germany as it lasts for a total of six days, usually in September.
The first four days are reserved for professional visitors and doors are open from 09:00 am until 18:00 pm. The last two days are reserved for the public and working hours are from 10:00 am until 18:00 pm.
In terms of commuter access, Berlin ExpoCenter City makes your daily commute effortless as it’s one of the most well-connected exhibition centres worldwide. Not only do you have fast links to the motorway system, but an abundance of metro lines, light rail service and bus lines.
