Based in Dubai, UAE, Arabplast is held once every two years with editions falling on odd years. The trade fair takes place towards the end of January and runs for four days in total at the recently renamed Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Al Fajer Information & Services is the official organiser for the event and tickets are sold only to trade visitors. Work hours are set for 11:00 in the late morning until 19:00 in the evening on the first three days. Closing day wraps up two hours early at 17:00. Now let’s talk about how to commute to Arabplast. The DICEC is well serviced by local public transport. Your best choice is to catch the subway train on the Red Line to get there the fastest. Bus line 29 always directly stops in front of the gate.
- “Arabplast was ideal to show off our instruments to key new customers. The quality of enquiries was good and certainly would have been difficult to see if we had tried to arrange visits,” - Andy Dickinson, EMEA Sales Manager, Systech Instruments;
- “Our attendance was part of the British Pavilion, helpfully organised by the British Plastics Federation (BPF). Longworth are proud members of the BPF and gratefully received their support with event arrangements, accommodation and stand build before and during our visit to Dubai. Our initial aim was to make new contacts, meet potential agents and shortlist some possible business partners for a joint venture for DEECOM® to the Middle East,” - Jen Hill, B&M Longworth’
- “Exhibiting enabled us to spend time with our distributor in UAE, and organise side meetings whilst at the show. We picked up two very large project enquiries. Thank you BPF for all the support and help in the run up to the event, which has been really helpful." Jonathan Cooper, Managing Director, Ecodek
Arabplast continues to grow thanks to the generous support and sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi Polymers Park, Bourouge and QAPCO. Attendance numbers are quite high even during the pandemic. Last edition has over 900 exhibitors in the 8 exhibition halls and the audience reached 15,000 trade visitors. Arabplast is quite international with 13 Country Pavilions and 32 countries represented by exhibitors. In turn, professionals came from a total of 108 countries like Germany, Ghana, Greece, Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, New Zealand, China, Palestine, the Philippines, and Russia among others. The main reasons for attending Arabplast in the first place have to do with purchasing and doing market research. Exhibitors can hope to meet with CEOs, importers, agents, senior management, factory managers, government officials and entrepreneurs.
