Travel restrictions and uncertainties surrounding the coronavirus pandemic made it impossible to host PLAST 2021 in person and organisers chose to cancel the event outright rather than postpone. As a result, PLAST will return as a physical event in May 2023. PROMAPLAST srl. believes in waiting until the pandemic is under control before bringing back the trade show to Fiera Milano. The new official dates have been selected – September 5th – September 8th, which are a departure from its usual slot in May. The exhibition grounds will implement state-of-the-art COVID-19 health and safety protocols involving social distancing, contactless payments and sanitation.

In Europe, PLAST is the definitive business platform for decision makers and manufacturers in the plastics and rubber industry. The international trade show has been running since 1960. Every new edition has delivered groundbreaking new technologies and revealed new market trends. The rubber and plastics industry have wide applications, which is why PLAST is a multi-sector event with importance for packaging, building and construction, mobility and transport, healthcare, sport and leisure, electronics, agriculture and energy. It’s the ideal place to launch products and meet with influential buyers. Exhibitors have much to gain from better visibility to higher sales leads. The product portfolio is one of the richest out there. Trade visitors have access to every link in the processing line including molds and dies, laboratory control and test equipment, synthesizing, modelling software, rapid prototyping, ancillary equipment for plastics and rubber processing, and additive manufacturing.

PLAST is based in Fiera Milano in Milan, Italy and editions are scheduled every three years. The trade show typically arrives in May and runs for a total of four days alongside Print4All. The main organiser of PLAST is PROMAPLAST srl. Admission is given only to professional visitors. Working hours have been set for 09:30 in the morning until 18:00 in the afternoon for all days, but be sure to check with the event’s site once the edition is closer on the horizon. Let’s talk commuting to Fiera Milano. The exhibition centre is well connected to public transport and visitors have many different options. If you’re not renting a car for the duration of your stay, the easiest way to arrive at the grounds is via the Underground ATM Red Line M1. If the metro is inconvenient, there are other options such as the S5, S6 and S11 bus lines.
