Editions are put together every two years by Messe München GmbH, which also doubles as the host venue, and last for a grand total of four days. Trade visitors are admitted from 09:00 am until 18:00 pm. Only the last day sees an earlier closing time at 17:00 pm.

What happened in past editions of electronica?
Electronica 2018
Electronica 2018 set a new attendance record for the trade fair. The trade show, which took place at Messe Munich from October 13th to October 16th, 2018, attracted 81,471 attendees and 3,124 exhibitors. This surpassed prior editions' participation rates. The rendition's main topics included blockchain, AI, and medical electronics.
Electronica 2022
Electronica 2022 reinforced the event's status as the industry's premier trade fair. The live event, which took place between November 15th, 2022 and November 18th, 2022, attracted approximately 70,000 visitors from around 100 countries and 2,144 exhibitors from 48 countries. A foreign country was represented by 64% of the exhibiting enterprises and 54% of the visitors.
Electronica 2024
Electronica 2024 took place alongside SEMICON Europa 2024. The events were hosted as live trade fairs in Messe Munich between 12.11.2024 and 15.11.2024. 3 480 exhibitors from 59 countries (76% from abroad) attended as part of Electronica's exhibitor list, as did approximately 270 from 24 countries as part of its speaker list. So did approximately 80,000 visitors from 100 countries, with 54% from abroad.
