The international trade show is put together every two years by FIL Farnborough International Ltd. and takes over the entire course of a week. Trade visitors attend on the first five days, and the weekend is reserved for the public. Programming takes place at the Farnborough Airfield, which lies roughly 50 kilometres south-west of London. 

FARNBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW has a strong reputation. In addition to its long history and impressive size, the exhibition is also known for having world records in aviation and is the preferred exhibition among more than 80 out of 100 of the top companies in the industry. It is that pedigree of exhibitors that make this event unmissable. The product portfolio is also quite diverse as there are innovations displayed across space, civil, military, manufacturing technology, rotary and MRO.

Farnborough International Airshow 2018

Farnborough International Airshow 2018 was hosted between 16.07.2018 and 22.07.2018 in Farnborough Airfield. It was attended by approximately 73,000 visitors and around 1,500 exhibitors.

Farnborough International Airshow 2020

Farnborough International Airshow 2020 was a digital trade fair due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event featured 14,000 delegation members from 97 countries, This included 244 suppliers, 75 buyers and 240 speakers. Among the speakers were the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Rolls-Royce, Air Emirates, and Airbus.

Farnborough International Airshow 2022

Farnborough International Airshow 2022 was the event's successful return to live trade fairs. It featured the wares of more than 1,200 exhibitors from 38 countries.

Farnborough International Airshow 2024

FIA 2024 reconfirmed the position of the event as a highly significant trade fair for the associated industry sectors. This is because of the edition's noteworthy success, which featured among its statistics a 33% and a 57% increase in visitor and delegate attendance, respectively. This is due to the event receiving more than 100,000 visitors (including over 20,000 public attendees) and over 390 delegates. Furthermore, the event featured 1,500 exhibitors from more than 60 countries.

This resulted in the event's diverse sub-events featuring high attendance rates. This includes FIA Pioneers of Tomorrow, a 500,000 m2 event site that was attended by over 20,000 public visitors and whose dedicated air display live stream received more than 178,000 views. It presented 90 aircraft and apart from generating high public interest also resulted in 105,000,000,000 USD of industry-related agreements. This included deals from noteworthy exhibitors such as Embraer. As a result, FIA 024 contributed 13,000,000,000 GBP to the United Kingdom's economy and has impacted the decision of more than 100 attending companies to reconfirm their attendance for FIA 2026.
