ProSweets Cologne has existed since 2006 – a short amount of time, yet has become one of the most extensive confectionery and snacks exhibitions. It certainly helps that it shares the stage in Cologne, Germany, with ISM. Both events are organised yearly and editions last four days at the start of February.
Koelnmesse performs dual roles as the organiser and the venue, yet it receives aid through several German associations and the Sweets Global Network. Admission is for professionals, and working hours are from 09:00 until 18:00. The exception is the closing day, when all activities wrap up at 16:00.

ProSweets 2022
ProSweets 2022 and ISM 2022 received around 15,000 trade visitors from 96 countries. The events were held as hybrid events between 30.01.2022 and 02.02.2022. The events were composed of a live exhibition held at Messe Cologne and a digital service known as ISM&ProSweets@home. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the editions had to be held in such a format. The pandemic also warranted the implementation of strict Covid-19 safety measures, such as the 3G entry policy for the live aspects. Attendees had to present before entry immunisation passports, negative test results, or proof of recovery. Among the 96 countries that attended the fair were Russia, France, Belgium, the UK, the USA, the Netherlands, and Turkey.
ProSweets 2023
The 2023 editions of ProSweets and ISM were held between 23.04.2023 and 25.04.2023 as a 2023 April Special Edition. They did not implement Covid-19 safety measures. This was due to the removal of the country's pandemic-related restrictions. ProSweets 2023 and ISM 2023 were attended by over 25,000 visitors from 135 countries and 119 exhibitors from 23 nations.
ProSweets 2024
The 2024 editions of ProSweets and ISM Cologne were live trade fairs hosted in Messe Cologne between 28.01.2024 and 31.01.2024. The events were attended by 1,675 exhibitors from more than 100 countries. 74 exhibitor nations attended ISM (88% from abroad), while ProSweets featured 30 (60% had travelled from abroad). The two trade fairs additionally received more than 43,000 visitors from more than 140 nations. 140 visitor countries attended ISM (over 70% of the ISM attendees were from a foreign country and around 60% of the ProSweets attendants were likewise from a foreign country) and 90 - ProSweets.
ProSweets 2025
ProSweets 2025 took place as a live trade fair alongside ISM 2025. The events were held between 02.02.2025 and 05.02.2025 in Messe Cologne on around 100,000 m2. Over 1,500 exhibitors from 70 countries attended, 89% from abroad. Around 32,000 visitors from 135 nations, 71% from abroad, attended as well. The edition featured a 5.5% increase in exhibitor and around 7% rise in visitor participation, as well as a 5% expansion of the event space.
