THERMPROCESS has pushed the boundaries in thermo process technology and heat technology ever since its arrival on the professional scene in 1974. Within its almost half-a-century run, the international trade fair has strengthened business networks across Europe and opened doors to new markets both east and west. Often it’s where new technologies are first introduced and a platform for professionals to get a deeper sense of industry trends thanks to a variety of conferences and the ever-popular THERMPROCESS Symposium. The product portfolio extends to insulation, laboratory equipment, pumps, quenching plants, refrigeration equipment, drives, furnace building materials, chimneys, conveyors, fans and industrial furnaces. Come to THERMPROCESS so that you establish your competitive edge and generate sales leads. The trade fair is oriented towards the business aspects of the industry.
THERMPROCESS is based in Düsseldorf, Germany and is part of the GMNT groups of events alongside with GIFA (foundry technique), METEC (metallurgy) & NEWCAST (casting products). All four events arrive once every four years sometime at the start of summer usually mid-June and have a run of five days. Messe Düsseldorf performs double duty as the host and official organiser and entry is given to trade visitors only. Support is provided by the VDMA – one of Germany’s biggest manufacturing industry associations. Working hours are scheduled between 09:00 am in the morning and 18:00 pm in the afternoon on the first four days. Closing day wraps up two hours earlier at 16:00 pm. Visitors don’t necessarily need to rent a car to commute to the fairgrounds as Messe Düsseldorf is serviced by bus (722) and tram (U78 and U79), which run consistently during the day.
What Are People Saying?
“THERMPROCESS provides comprehensive market insights, especially in global thermo-process technology. Our economy in Australia is relatively small. Theoretically, globalization and digitization, even in places away from large industrial centers, lead to a good connection to information. But an international meeting place with personal conversations like here is essential and can not be replaced by anything,” - Stephen Turner, Business Development and Sales Manager for Industrial Markets, Shinagawa Refractories Australia Pty Ltd, Unanderra, Australia;
“In Europe in particular, we have had good growth in recent years, which we want to continue. The challenge is to provide the most tailor-made solutions. I have received a lot of input at THERMPROCESS to achieve our goal concrete” - Andrea Adorisio, Production Manager, Gadda Group, Colleretto Giacosa, Italy;
“We get a lot of news from personal discussions with suppliers and customers, what has changed in the company and what are the requirements for us? I'll be watching everything around 3D production, a highly interesting topic with a lot of potential for our workspace,” - Thomas Bajer, Sales Director, Holubice, Czech Republic
Audience & Statistics
The GNMT quartet performed exceptionally well as a whole entity registering 2360 exhibitors and 72,000 trade visitors as a whole. Within those numbers, THERMPROCESS builds on top of its performance of 2015 with more than 300 international exhibitors and an audience that went above 7000 attendees. The demographics are relatively equal in proportion between German natives and foreign nationals. The countries we say were mainly from Europe, although East Asia is making its mark in ever-growing numbers with Japan and China at the forefront. Roughly 60% of visitors are all in management positions, whether this is upper or middle management, and that is a good statistic. It means decision makers are at THERMPROCESS and they are ready to commit as was the outcome from the Bright World of Metals.
