Beautyworld Japan & COVID

Beautyworld Japan Tokyo 2023 is well under way as organisers are energetically preparing for another live edition of the major international beauty show. The show’s second held-during-the-pandemic edition in 2022 showed that the industry continues to be ready to take part in physical meetings, and nothing compares to exhibitions and trade fairs when it comes to generating sales. Beautyworld Japan Tokyo 2023 will return to the Tokyo Big Sight on May 15th – May 17th, 2023. The edition is in full compliance with the COVID-19 regulations created by the Japan Exhibition Association and the health and safety protocols from Tokyo Big Sight. Visitors are expected to follow all mandatory guidelines such as avoiding crowding and physical contact, as well as wearing masks. Participants should note that due to the travel restrictions, they may have to quarantine or present test results upon arrival in Japan.

Introduction

Beautyworld Japan Tokyo has been a pillar in the beauty and wellness industry in Japan since its start in 1998 and has now become the preferred procurement platform in the country. The international trade show has been a source for new trends and a chance to see what the biggest brands in the world are doing. Product launches are the bread and butter of the show as the audience comes to research innovations and make purchases. The product portfolio is extensive and covers cosmetics, natural & organic products, beauty equipment, beauty supplements, spa & wellness, nails and nail products, diet & health, salon furniture & items. Beautyworld Japan Tokyo creates the ideal conditions to get business done in the Platinum Hall, where you can take advantage of the VIP lounge, business meeting spaces and the seminar program.

What Are People Saying?

• “This is our first time exhibiting at Beautyworld Japan Tokyo. We are seeking new business opportunities and so we are here to promote our professional hair care equipment for salons.  Many wholesalers and distributors visited our booth. The visitor flow was great, and we’re looking forward to participating again next year,” – Seiji Miyamoto, Aisin Corp;

• “The number of visitors to our booth was a little smaller than during the 2019 edition. However, the number of contracts we developed during the three days was the highest ever. Of course, we will be back next year,” – Hiroyuki Sasaki, CEO of Esthe Pro Labo Co Ltd;

• “After cancelling the 2020 edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were pleased to be able to hold Beautyworld Japan Tokyo as a physical event this year. With global travel restrictions still in place, international brands exhibited through their local Japanese representative offices. This ensured a good level of variety and internationality,” – Mako Yamamoto, Executive Director of Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd;
