Drinktec is a trade fair that showcases the latest innovations and trending topics within the beverages sector. It is done through an extensive event program. It comprises groundbreaking keynotes on the Wave Stage, peer-to-peer exchanges in the Deep Dive Lounge and the most recent innovations in the Startup Zone. Likewise, attendees can overview novel beverage concepts at the Health Bar. In addition, there are diverse guided tours, award ceremonies and the latest research studies. Additionally, the exhibition features the latest wares related to beverage production, retail, and distribution. Among them are ones related to:
- Beer;
- Wine;
- Spirits;
- Milk and yoghurt-based drinks
- Juices;
- Tea and coffee;
- Energy drinks.
Programming takes place over the course of five days once every four years, and editions coincide with oils + fats. Messe Munich GmbH performs a dual role as both the official organiser and the host venue.
Professional visitors are admitted to the event. Event days begin at 09:00 am and end at 18:00 pm, though these hours are subject to change as the event approaches.
There is more to Drinktec than the product diversity. The event features an extensive history. It started as part of the Deutsche Brauerei Ausstellung. Then separated into Interbau and then its own separate entity altogether. It is this history that has converted Drinktec into the host for the German Amateur Brewers Championships. In addition, trade visitors have access to great programming items. Apart from the aforementioned there is also the Innovation Flow Lounge, and PRO FachHANDEL.
Drinktec 2022
Drinktec 2022 and the concurring oils+fats 2022 took place as face-to-face trade exhibitions between September 12th and September 16th, 2022. Due to Germany removing its domestic restrictions, the trade fairs did not feature Covid-19 safety measures. 1,002 exhibitors from 55 countries and approximately 50,000 visitors from 169 countries travelled to Messe Munich. Over 70% of the exhibitors and 65% of the visitors were from abroad. South Africa, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, and India accounted for around 40% of the attending. Pentair Industrial Solutions, Sidel, Krones AG, and Siemens AG were among the notable participants.
Drinktec 2025
The 2025 edition of Drinktec was held as a live trade fair between 15.09.2025 and 19.09.2025. The event was attended by over 1,100 exhibitors from 70 countries and 58,200 visitors from 168 nations (70% from abroad) on 74,000 m2.
