That alone places this international trade fair front and centre within the broader agricultural landscape. The trade fair has been going strong since 1993 and has become the must-see platform for innovation and procurement on the territory of Europe first and then the rest of the world. In terms of product diversity, visitors will have access to dried fruit, flowers, fruits, nuts, organic produce, potted plants and spice, cultivation equipment, post-harvest technical systems, modified atmosphere technology, product monitoring technology, cooling systems, ripening equipment, packing and sorting machinery. The industry as of right now faces numerous challenges for growers given the current climate instability in a lot of traditional grower regions.
Editions of Fruit Logistica run at the start of February every single year. Messe Berlin GmbH acts as the official organiser and proceedings are held at the Berlin ExpoCenter City. The trade fair is on the shorter side as exhibitions are open to trade visitors for three days during the work week. The exhibition grounds are open to trade visitors from 09:00 am in the morning until 18:00 pm in the afternoon, but the last day wraps up two hours earlier at 16:00 pm.
