The Great Yorkshire Show follows a strict annual schedule, where editions begin on the second Tuesday of July until Thursday. Programming lasts for a total of three days and is put together by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. The show is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and occupies a massive exhibition space called the Great Yorkshire Showground, which totals 250 acres or 100 ha. Most of the space is grasslands with a few permanent structures
Doors are open to the general public and professionals involved in agriculture and animal breeding. This was because of the removal of the related domestic limitations. A total of 140,000 attendees attended the event.
