INTERMAT is a highly influential international exhibition for construction and infrastructure that also functions as the natural meeting point for contractors and professionals in France. The very first edition was held in 1988 and since then the brand has expanded significantly. There are now two satellite events – INTERMAT India and INTERMAT Aesia. INTERMAT operates out of Paris, France and is a production of COMEXPOSIUM, which is also the organiser for WOCE (World of Cement Europe). Both events run at the same time and share a stage at Paris-Nord Villepinte Parc d'Expositions et Centre de Conventions (VIPARIS). Editions happen around mid-April and run for a total of six days. Admission is given only to trade visitors and the work hours are set for typically 09:00 in the morning until 18:00 in the afternoon, though these hours vary from edition to edition. You should definitely check ahead of time. Then there’s the matter of getting to the exhibition grounds. Paris-Nord Villepinte has an excellent public transport service. The easiest way for commuters in the city to reach is through the RER train lines. There are also shuttle buses from Porte Maillot and the Beauvais Airport. In addition, you can also use the Air France coaches to get to your destination.
Because INTERMAT editions are spaced out so far between each other, getting a booth is a smart investment, because it’s not a frequent expense. Also, the international trade show is known to get big numbers. Last edition saw over 1400 international exhibitors from 40 countries and 50% of them were non-French based. The audience has exceeded over 173,000 trade visitors that arrived from 160 countries and 30% were foreign nationals. You’ll find half out of the top 100 construction contractors at INTERMAT. That’s quite the reputation and business opportunities to establish connections with the most influential players in the industry on a global level. Official sponsors of the event are IPAF, CIECF, Kranning, CCPIT, ANMOPYC, DUR, FIEC and CEA among many others. Visitors come from a variety of sectors - construction contractors, trading and dealers, industry, services, contracting authority and prime contractors.
INTERMAT has a great deal of interest for new companies and new solutions. This means that startups are more than welcome. The New Technologies Hub is home to the Startup Village, where startups are able to gain visibility and attract targeted foot traffic to their booths;
A chance to showcase your machinery in real-world conditions. INTERMAT has carved out an outdoor space of 30,000 sqm for live demonstrations. It’s easily one of the most effective ways to sell construction equipment by showing them in action. We also have to say it’s one of the most entertaining parts of the trade show;
Because INTERMAT is a major hub for professionals in the French construction sector, a smart way to help them discover international exhibitors is through international pavilions. The 2024 edition of INTERMAT was a live trade fair hosted between 24.04.2024 and 27.04.2024.. The event was attended by 1,000 exhibitors (70% from abroad).
