Mido Srl Unipersonale Italy brings editions of MIDO every single year in Milan, Italy. Editions last for three days in total and usually fall somewhere between late February and early March. The trade fair is open to industry insiders only and doors are open from 09:00 am until 19:00 pm for the first two days and until 18:00 pm on the last day
Next topic – the commute! If you’re not about to spend extra money on a rented car, that’s fine. Milan is one of the better connected cities. Commuters mainly rely on the Underground ATM Red Line M1 to get to Fiera Milano, but you can also grab three different city trains (S5, S6 and S11), which stop there at the exhibition centre.
What You Can Expect as an Exhibitor
- MIDO is a wide-reaching international B2B event, which means that priority falls on sales leads and networking – it’s the perfect environment to introduce yourself with leaders and work towards broader brand recognition;
- MIDO is actively endorsed by the Ministry of Economic Development, which in turn has resulted in the 150 top buyers to turn the trade fair into a stop every single year – for you this means big opportunities to close spectacular deals;
- MIDO is where trends are created, and now also predicted. Organisers have partnered with WSGN, whose role is to use their know-how and expertise to predict the trends bound to make the biggest waves in product and lifestyle evolution.
That’s all good to know, but how can you be sure to break even. If you’re not impressed to learn that the 150 biggest buyers are coming, then perhaps you’ll be convinced by the total turnout by over 59,000 trade visitors from all over the world.
MIDO explores opportunities in the European market, but enjoys far-reaching influence with interest from the Far East thanks to the FAIR East area on the show floor. All this attention is focused on the products of over 1300 exhibitors (there’s certainly been improvement in the numbers as there have been 110 first-time exhibitors). Visitors come from every part of the industry. You get to meet entrepreneurs, ophthalmologists, designers, buyers, opticians and the entire global eyewear supply chain.
