Update for the Event
The New Forest and Hampshire County Show's 2023 edition will be held as a face-to-face trade show from July 25th to July 27th, 2023. Because of the improved pandemic situation, the New Forest Show will not have rigorous Covid-19 safety precautions. As a result of the circumstances, the domestic limits have been lifted, as have the travel restrictions.
The New Forest and Hampshire County Show, often abbreviated to the New Forest Show, is at the centre of the agricultural industry and country living in Hampshire. It’s just hit one hundred years as the very first show took place in 1920 and in that century, the New Forest and Hampshire County Show has established itself as a major drive for the local economy with a focus on highlighting the products of local vendors as well as generating funds for local charities. It’s this charitable drive that further underlines the importance of the event. There’s much to discover for visitors – crafts, art, traditional country pursuits, produce, flowers and gardening supplies, antiques, artisanal goods and local cuisine. Of course, a country show can’t exist without animal competitions. Visitors can see a wide variety of animal – pigs, cattle and sheep, poultry, rabbits, cage birds, and honey bees.
In order to accommodate all of the above, The New Forest and Hampshire County Show takes up 30 acres of New Park, which is located right outside Brockenhurst – the biggest village within the county of Hampshire. Everyone is welcome during the three days at the end of July. Editions are held every single year courtesy of the New Forest Agricultural Show Society and work hours are set from 08:00 am in the morning up until 18:30 pm in the afternoon. Transportation is one of the biggest topics for a show of this size and the grounds are easily reached on foot as well as on bike. Brockenhurst has solid connections to bus services via Millbrook, Redbridge and Totton and the railway. The grounds are adjacent to Brockenhurst Station and visitors can benefit from the regular shuttle bus available free of charge. There’s sufficient parking and a Lift Share service that aims to maximize visitor mobility.

Audience & Statistics
The New Forest and Hampshire County Show delivers on the promise of high visitor numbers as editions circle around 100,000 visitors. The 2019 edition registered over 85,000 visitors as whole. This is in no small part due to the fact that the show is endorsed by the royal family. Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh have both attended the show in the past. In addition, the show further enjoys great sponsorships – ExxonMobil, Camping in the Forest, Stewards Garden Centres, Rathbones, Gilbert Aviation, Pennyfarthing and so many more.
