Friedrichshafen has historically been the site of a thriving yachting industry thanks to its location on Lake Constance. The city’s convenient location sparked the creation of Interboot, a major trade fair for yachting, boating and water sports, which has benefited local businesses over the years. Set to take place in late September 2024, this international water sports exhibition is undergoing a significant transformation, marked by a fresh claim, revamped focus and a much shorter duration, spanning five action-packed days instead of nine. Interboot 2024 aims to break away from convention as it offers visitors a diverse program that breaks away from the format of a typical trade fair. This includes a revamped event content lineup, new product worlds, and a redesigned Interboot Marina, so that attendees can expect an immersive and dynamic experience. One of the highlights of the 2024 event is the introduction of a fishing range, expanding the product offerings to include camping and towing vehicles. The trend sports area will undergo a transformation and be unveiled as Interboard in Hall A5 that’s going to cater to adrenaline junkies and water sports enthusiasts alike. The product expansion makes sense since Germans are naturally drawn to outdoor lifestyles and the co-exhibition of related products is expected to drive further interest. Maritime tourism takes center stage at Interboot 2024 with an expanded portfolio aimed at re-establishing the event as a gateway to the Mediterranean. Exciting action events and shows featuring a diverse lineup of stars will captivate audiences, offering entertainment for enthusiasts, newcomers, and experts alike. The Interboot Marina will undergo a reimagining, presenting hands-on activities with prominent partners and opening its doors to all, regardless of exhibition status. Additionally, visitors can now travel to the fair with their own boats, thanks to the option to purchase day tickets inclusive of a guest berth.
