Exhibitions in Friedrichshafen, Germany for Entertainment & Media

Friedrichshafen plays host to one of the most significant trade fairs in the entertainment and media industry in the whole of Germany, which has been responsible for numerous innovations in radio and keeping the love of radio alive and well. We’re talking about HAM RADIO; Europe’s largest amateur radio trade fair. The 2024 edition marks a special milestone: 60 years of IOTA – Islands On the Air! Since its inception in 1964, the international IOTA program has been fostering radio contacts with stations located on islands across the globe, spanning from remote rocky outcrops in vast oceans to the largest landmasses on Earth. For many, IOTA conjures images of adventurous journeys to far-flung corners of the planet, and indeed, countless enthusiasts have tales to share. Beyond the thrill of exploration, IOTA embodies the camaraderie and friendly competition that define the amateur radio community. It serves as a testament to the unifying power of amateur radio on a global scale. With the theme ""60 years of Islands on the Air: technology meets adventure!"", the 47th HAM RADIO exhibition aims to capture the essence of this enduring passion for exploration and innovation within the amateur radio community. Building on the success of previous editions, HAM RADIO 2024 promises to be a celebration of technological advancements and the spirit of collaboration that defines amateur radio. The conclusion of the 46th International Amateur Radio Exhibition saw a notable increase in visitors. Under the slogan ""We’re all about STEM!"", the trade fair explored the role of amateur radio within the framework of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects.
