Exhibitions in Stuttgart, Germany for Optoelectronics

The optoelectronics industry visits Stuttgart every year to catch up on what’s new in machine vision technology at VISION 2024. As industries increasingly adopt automation, AI, and smart manufacturing solutions, machine vision plays a pivotal role in enhancing efficiency and precision across various sectors. VISION 2024 showcased the latest advancements in embedded vision, hyperspectral imaging, and deep learning. The event provided a comprehensive overview of key technologies driving Industry 4.0 and automated processes. This year’s event broke several records, with a 16% increase in net exhibition space compared to previous years. Additionally, exhibitor participation surged by over 25%, with 33% of exhibitors attending for the first time. The growing international presence was another highlight, as 67% of exhibitors hailed from outside Germany. This data affirms Stuttgart as one of the critical meeting points for the machine vision and optoelectronics industry. Beyond the machine vision sector, VISION draws interest from diverse industries, including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive manufacturing, semiconductor production, and the pharmaceutical sector. The event highlighted how machine vision applications are expanding beyond traditional domains into food and beverage production, transportation, and logistics. The event’s knowledge-sharing forums, ""Industrial VISION Days"" and ""Scientific VISION Days,"" proved immensely popular. Organized by the VDMA Machine Vision Association and the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), these sessions featured over 100 presentations on key industry trends such as 3D imaging, embedded vision, hyperspectral imaging, and artificial intelligence. The forums, accessible via live stream and video-on-demand, offered a valuable resource for professionals seeking in-depth insights into the latest technological advancements.
