Exhibitions in Frankfurt am Main, Germany for Optoelectronics

Frankfurt finds itself with an active, ever-growing optoelectronics industry. The city is the site of high-profile events as well as local manufacturers—case in point Frankfurt Laser Company (FLC). Founded in 1994 by Dr. Vsevolod Mazo, FLC has stayed on top of major developments within the semiconductor laser sector for over 30 years. Today, the company offers a comprehensive range of laser products spanning from ultraviolet (UV) to infrared (IR) and far-IR wavelengths. FLC has stretched its expertise in multiple direction and today presents its clientele an extensive portfolio of laser sources, which spans laser diodes, superluminescent diodes, laser modules, laser systems, DPSS lasers, and mid-IR LEDs. The company covers all physical types of laser diodes such as Fabry-Perot (FP), Distributed Feedback (DFB), Distributed Bragg Reflector (DBR), Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers (VCSELs), Interband Cascade Lasers (ICL), and Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCL). With wavelengths ranging from 213 nm to 20 μm and power outputs reaching up to 3,000 watts in the IR range, FLC is equipped to meet the diverse needs of various industries. One of FLC’s distinguishing features is its ability to develop custom-made laser diode modules tailored to specific requirements, including customized wavelengths, power outputs, and beam shaping options. Through diffractive and refractive optics, the company can create specialized beam patterns, such as points, lines, or custom shapes. This way FCL is able to cater to a wide range of applications in imaging, industrial processing, medicine, and military technology. FLC not only supplies state-of-the-art laser components but also collaborates with manufacturers and researchers to develop groundbreaking products. The company actively supports international research projects, such as the European Commission’s GLAURIOUS project, which aims to create cost-effective glaucoma treatment systems. Glaucoma, a leading cause of blindness, particularly in Asia and Africa, could be diagnosed and treated efficiently with the innovations fostered by FLC’s contributions.
