Exhibitions in Madrid, Spain for Environment & Waste

In Madrid, the environment and waste management industry has met a reliable partner in the face of the city's Centro de Innovación de Economía Circular (CIEC), which has become the driving force behind innovation in waste management and circular economy practices. Some of their work includes the transformation of waste items such as used coffee capsules, old chemical bottles, and broken household furniture into compost fertilizer and specialist filament. Launched in 2022, CIEC aims to foster innovation, attract talent, promote entrepreneurship, and create new job opportunities. Managed by the City of Madrid in collaboration with innovation consulting firm Barrabes, Eurostar Mediagroup, engineering firm Sacyr, and academic institutions such as the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, CIEC has established a robust network to support its initiatives. Businesses of all sizes are crucial to this model due to the materials they use and generate. Embracing the circular economy not only helps companies find new business models and revenue streams but also offers opportunities to reduce costs. Training is a key service offered by CIEC, whose programs are designed to impart actionable advice and guidance to companies that are invested in implementing circular principles. Recognizing that different business verticals face unique challenges, CIEC focuses on specific fields every two months, including energy, agri-food and hospitality, construction, textiles, biotech medicine, and a cross-sector category. For instance, the textile sector in Madrid faces upcoming environmental regulations related to product durability, recyclability, and waste management responsibilities, and many small and medium-sized textile companies were not aware of this. By providing customized training and support, CIEC helps these companies navigate regulations and adopt circular economy practices. Prevention is the best strategy and the environment and waste management industry in Milan is working hard to anticipate change and best adapt to it. Business support programs are also available for start-ups, entrepreneurs, and large enterprises.
