As a major consumer event, Kind + Jugend is an annual event scheduled for September and located in Cologne, Germany. Koelnmesse performs the double duty of an official organiser and host venue, where trade visitors can attend for four days.

Due to the lifting of the country's national coronavirus regulations, it did not include Covid-19 safety safeguards. A digital platform with features such as video conversations complemented the live fair. Around 500 exhibitors from 38 nations attended the event, with 85% representing a foreign country. The event attracted 10,000 attendees from 103 countries, with 75% travelling from a foreign nation. India, Israel, Turkey, China, Canada, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, and the United States were among the represented countries.

The 2023 edition of Kind+Jugend was hosted as a hybrid trade fair that received around 15,974 participants. This included around 15,000 visitors from 113 countries and 974 exhibitors from 46 nations. 76% of the visiting and 92% of the exhibiting were from abroad. The event took place in Messe Cologne between 07.09.2023 and 09.09.2023.

The 2024 edition of Kind+Jugend was held between 03.09.2024 and 05.09.2024 in Messe Cologne. The event received over 15,900 participants. This included approximately 15,000 visitors from 115 countries (around 77% from abroad). It also featured over 900 exhibitors from 43 nations (90% from a foreign country).

The 2025 edition of Kind + Jugend took place as a live trade fair between 09.09.2025 and 11.09.2025. The event featured approximately 800 exhibitors from 43 countries and around 15,000 visitors from 108 nations. Around 79% of the visitors were from abroad.
