Exhibitions in Spain for Stone

Spain’s natural stone industry remains one of the most reliable economic sectors thanks to its rich deposits in Murcia, Almería, and Alicante. According to recent data from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition, Spain’s natural stone production, which includes marble, reached a market value of €1.7 billion in 2024. The industry’s export capacity has also shown notable strength, increasing by 12% year-on-year. Spain’s marble is increasingly sought after in global markets such as France, the UK, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, where it is used in both public infrastructure and high-end private projects. Among the sector’s most promising developments is the Mula quarry in the region of Murcia, currently operated by URBAS. This is where two of the most prized marbles in Europe are dug up, Mármol Beige Serpiente and Mármol Bronce, which have found their way to public institutions, ministries and even airports all across Spain. Outside the country, the five types of marble mined at the Mula quarry are highly sought across the Iberian Peninsula and as far away as the Middle East and South America. The volume of exports increases on a year-on-year basis and is the big marker for further expansion of the Mula deposit. The project is also expected to generate more than 100 direct and indirect jobs for Spain’s natural stone industry. We can’t review the entire stone industry without having to stop an example company. First on the list in NAISA, which has been in business for half a decade and is a staple brand in the national ecosystem. NAISA manages the full value chain from quarry extraction to processing, production, and global distribution.
