A Short Guide to Trade Fairs in Verona
This week’s post is the last for Italy as we reach the final destination on our journey – Verona. If this series is new for you, make sure to retrace our steps with a brief examination of fairs in Bologna and Milan. Prior to our examination of Italy, we also toured Germany and France for a spell at the beginning of summer! As always, we’ll present a bit about the city’s economic state, introduce you to its exhibition centre and preview a few of its most prominent events on the horizon.
Verona has been mostly received a tourist destination as all Italian cities of note appear to be to some extent. However, there’s certainly a strong economic activity here, which has been split into three major sectors. We’re talking agriculture, industry and the service sector. As a result, logistics have also asserted themselves as a booming stage of development and growth. The city’s appeal as a tourist destination known for its architecture and pristine countryside has worked in favor to cast it as a host for trade shows, trade conventions and exhibitions!
Veronafiere, as the exhibition centre is known in Italian, sprawls over a little over 300,000 sq. metres – a massive space almost evenly distributed between indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces. This gives the centre a certain flexibility when it comes to hosting larger trade shows or fairs, featuring sizeable equipment or vehicles. You can expect that every precaution and measure has been taken to provide exhibitors with the right communications and audio-visual technologies to present their brands in the best possible way.
MARMOMACC: There’s barely any time left before the halls of Verona’s exhibition centre fill in with the newest products and services of over 1500 exhibitors in the natural stone industry. The trade show is scheduled for late September, early October and as it’s one of the few to give an in-depth look into the entire supply chain, attendance is predicted to circle the 67,000 mark.
VINITALY: This classic trade fair, which has been going for well over 50 years, will be hosted again to much funfair in April. It’s a marketplace of significance, garnering more than 400 exhibitors. In attendance, you have producers, importers, distributors, restaurateurs, technicians, journalists and opinion leaders – all happily discussing trends, doing business and changing the course of the industry as a whole.
