Exhibitions in Essen, Germany for Defense

VINCORION, a leading provider of innovative defense and aviation solutions, has been making significant strides in the field of green defense technology, particularly in its hometown of Essen, Germany. With nearly 700 employees at three locations in Germany and one in the United States, VINCORION is committed to developing sustainable solutions that reduce emissions and conserve resources while enhancing the effectiveness of military operations. The company bolsters Essen’s defense market and puts the city on the map. One of VINCORION's key contributions to the green defense movement is its work on the modernization of the Patriot defense system. This project involves the development of new radar systems and the ability to form entire protective shields, all while incorporating eco-friendly design principles. Dr. Stefan Stenzel, managing director of VINCORION, emphasizes how a development of this kind aligns with the company’s vision of creating a green military. VINCORION’s experience with hybrid power supply units has been instrumental in its green defense initiatives. The company is developing high-performance power systems for Patriot that generate fewer emissions and require less fuel, leading to lower operating costs. VINCORION's pursuit of green defense extends beyond the Patriot system, as the company is actively developing a new generation of military gensets for the German Armed Forces. These gensets will be equipped with state-of-the-art EU Stage V engines and incorporate power storage units for hybrid or battery operation, further reducing the environmental impact of military operations. VINCORION’s pioneering of green defense technology has been recognized by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support (BAAINBw), which awarded the company a framework agreement valued at 16 million euros. This agreement will enable VINCORION to deliver prototypes and preproduction systems for the German Armed Forces through the end of 2024. This project directly ties in with Germany’s comprehensive project to modernize its armed forces.
