Exhibitions in Essen, Germany for Heating

The city of Essen finds itself in a particular moment in its history regarding heating solutions - one that will set a new tone for its heating sector. Innovative technologies meet substantial investments in significant projects that align Essen’s heating industry with the government’s plan to modernize its heating sector and reduce emissions. Sustainability is one of the biggest talking points as people are choosing environmentally conscious heating solutions. At the forefront of this transformation is Küttner Energy GmbH, which directs its focus on the safe and efficient utilization of significant amounts of waste heat from energy-intensive processes. The Ecostat heat exchanger, featuring heat pipes, stands as the cornerstone of Küttner’s systems. This innovation enables the indirect exchange of heat between two media, unlocking the full energy potential of waste heat. The Ecoflow solution complements this approach as it offers an economic means of utilizing recovered energy over long distances. Küttner is redefining industrial processes through preheating combustion gases and facilitating heat displacement and distribution. Küttner's expertise in constructing total recooling facilities for high-capacity blast furnaces aligns with Essen's commitment to sustainable industrial practices. As smelting furnaces demand water-cooling for components due to high process temperatures, Küttner's solutions provide both efficiency and environmental responsibility. In tandem with Küttner's innovations, STEAG Fernwärme Essen GmbH & Co. KG, a joint venture of STEAG Fernwärme and Stadtwerke Essen AG, proudly announced the successful completion of its eastern line project. After 1,180 days of construction, the district heating pipeline is now operational – a remarkable achievement of civil engineering The project received substantial funding from climate protection funds at the European Union, North Rhine-Westphalia State and German government levels. It commanded a budget of EUR 20 million and has come to embody a collaborative effort towards sustainable heating solutions.
