Exhibitions in UAE for Decorations

As the United Arab Emirates (UAE) continues its rapid development, the interior design and home decorations industry reaps the benefits of increasing purchasing power and residential construction projects. Estimated at $3.35 billion in 2024, the market is projected to reach $4.66 billion by 2029, which amounts to a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.79%. Spearheading the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) interior design market with a 40% share, the UAE is a hotspot for innovative architecture and sustainable design practices, driving demand across various sectors. The UAE’s interior design market is closely tied to the overall health of the economy. The emirate's announcement of its largest budget in 2019 has set the stage for increased demand in the sector. High-profile megaprojects such as Expo 2021 and Burj 2020 at Jumeirah Lakes Towers are fueling the need for interior design services. Additionally, INDEX 2021, a major exhibition in Dubai, further stimulated market demand by showing cutting-edge design innovations. Another strength is the integration of digital solutions. Technologies like Building Information Modeling (BIM) software are enhancing functionality, improving documentation, as well as facilitating even better coordination between interior designers and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services. These advancements are not only reducing costs but also streamlining processes. Commercial construction projects across the GCC are on the rise as investments increased from $75 million to $78 million by 2020. The UAE’s key commercial hubs, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, are experiencing fast growth in their real estate markets, which has naturally translated into a boom of interior design projects for offices, retail spaces, educational institutions and hospitals. The trend towards bright, open-plan workspaces is becoming the norm, driven by an increase in office supply in these cities. It’s given local decorations manufacturers ample opportunities to expand on the domestic market.
