The 2024 edition attracted 20,400 professionals from 96 countries, alongside 574 exhibitors from 42 nations. It featured more than 300 international speakers, all focused on advancing orthopaedic solutions through collaboration, innovation, and cutting-edge technology. OTWorld is the leading global trade show and congress for technical orthopaedics, bringing together experts in prosthetics, orthotics, rehabilitation technology, orthopaedic footwear, and compression therapy. Attendees explored new advancements in sustainable orthotics, intelligent prosthetics, rehabilitation technology for stroke patients, and exoskeletons for children. The event also highlighted the latest developments in compression treatments and bandages, pushing the boundaries of care in orthopaedic therapy. A standout feature was the introduction of “OTWorld.shoe-technology,” an exhibition space dedicated to orthopaedic footwear. This section highlighted the latest in sensomotoric footwear and digital measurement, as well as cutting-edge 3D printing technologies that are revolutionizing orthopaedic shoe production. France made quite the impression in numbers, with 24 French companies and experts attending OTWorld 2024. The French collective stand offered insights into the country’s healthcare system and showcased innovations in orthopaedic care. As a prelude to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, a special farewell celebration was held for prosthetists and orthotists traveling to care for elite athletes during the games. The French participation also added a touch of cultural flair to the event. The traditional OTWorld party in the Glass Hall, featuring a “Café de Paris” theme, was a highlight on the opening day, blending business with a celebration of French culture.
