Exhibitions in Köln, Germany for Decorations

At the heart of the decorations industry in Cologne stands imm cologne, whose 2024 edition introduced a new central theme - Connecting Communities, - which was embodied through the innovative fair concept known as The Circles. This approach focused on fostering networking and dialogue within the furniture and interior design industry. The event attracted approximately 750 exhibitors from both domestic and international markets, and welcomed 42,000 trade visitors from 129 countries. The Circles concept played a crucial role in the event’s success. It featured interconnected content and event areas, inspiring design installations, hospitality zones and studios for future-focused presentations. This setup transformed imm cologne into an interactive platform where industry participants could engage in meaningful discussions about key industry topics. Given the enthusiastic response, plans are in place to further support intra-industry dialogue in the upcoming year. In 2025, imm cologne will introduce new hall concepts in the Pure, Home, and Sleep segments, promising even more engaging and surprising experiences for all participants. Exhibitors will benefit from special participation formats designed to offer customized solutions. Another significant aspect of the event is the imm cologne Summit, which is being further developed in cooperation with the Association of the German Furniture Industry (VDM) and the Federal Association of the German Furniture and Kitchen Retailers (BVDM). This congress highlights the vast potential of the interior design and decorations industry and provides insights and discussions on the latest trends and developments. The support programme is not complete without mentioning the Pure Talents Contest, a design competition that showcases emerging talent in the industry. At the beginning of 2024, the contest set a new record with over 1,000 entries. The 2025 edition promises to be equally exciting as it shines the spotlight on designs that push the boundaries of interior design.
