Nordstil is central to the success of the home and lifestyle industry in Hamburg. The trade fair is a major procurement platform that centers itself on the latest trends in interior design. Editions are held twice a year and in 2024, the trade fair hit a major anniversary, which hit massive milestones in terms of attendance. The event drew 752 exhibitors from Germany and abroad, attracting around 13,500 buyers who explored the diverse product worlds on display. Nordstil is renowned for its ability to provide practical solutions and inspiration to the industry, particularly during challenging times. The Nordstil Forum played a crucial role in this, offering expert knowledge on various pressing issues. In 2024, the forum introduced the Ethical Style program, which placed sustainability front and centre as the mega trend reshaping the entire landscape. The program highlighted the best practices for addressing the shortage of skilled workers, strategies for enhancing digital presence, and trends at the point of sale (PoS). The anniversary edition of Nordstil was celebrated for its refreshing, authentic, and familiar atmosphere, while also being attuned to contemporary trends. Exhibitors and visitors alike appreciated the event's ability to present numerous new products, practical tips for retailers, and ample inspiration for PoS displays. The collaborative nature of the event, which has been designed and actively supported by the industry for ten years, was a highlight. The specialist trade has had three very difficult years due to the increasing inflation and other economic stressors. It’s only now that the sector is on a solid upward trajectory and brands are seeing an end to the lean years. The 2024 edition of Nordstil provided a moment of levity to all participants and created a supportive environment to create new business opportunities.
