Exhibitions in Munich, Germany for Gems

Munich’s gemstone industry revolves around the advent of INHORGENTA, which is one of the most prestigious trade fairs for jewellery, watches and gemstones within Europe. Each edition sees a new crop of brands and designers receive the ultimate recognition for their hard work. That’s, of course, the INHORGENTA AWARD decided by a distinguished panel of international experts to celebrate outstanding achievements across various categories, showcasing the best and brightest in the industry. Winning translates to an immediate increase in sales volumes as well as prestige. The recent INHORGENTA AWARD ceremony, held in Showpalast Munich, marked the event’s 50th anniversary in grand style. The significance of the award cannot be emphasised enough. The INHORGENTA AWARD provides the necessary space and shines the spotlight on exceptional creations from emerging talents to established brands. The most recent batch of winners to snatch a trophy include Hans D. Krieger, who received the Fine Jewelry of the Year award, which he earned for elegant and timeless earrings. The High Jewelry of the Year award went to Autore for its Autore Serpent necklace – a masterclass in opulent design, - while Seinerzeit Flora & Fauna walked away with the Fashion Jewelry of the Year title for their trend-setting Ms. Roxy collection. The big categories like Designer of the Year and Design Newcomer of the Year were won by Yana Nesper and Thea Thiessen, respectively. Nesper left an instant impression on the jurors with her innovative LOVE Collier, while Thiessen showed incredible potential and originality in her first collection, Nautilus. Then there are the specialist categories. Josef Michel was celebrated in the Gemstone Design of the Year category for the Boulder-Opal Mountain Landscape. Watch Design of the Year went to Porsche Design for their Chronograph 1 Utility—Limited Edition.
