Exhibitions in Munich, Germany for Automobile - Automotive Industry

Munich is perhaps one of the best known production hubs of the German automotive industry. Deeply associated with German excellence and innovation in driving technology, the city and the surrounding region have embraced the automotive industry as the core of their economy. The streets of Bavaria's capital abound with production facilities and offices. Driving culture in the city is on another level with high-performance saloon cars, spacious SUVs, snazzy convertibles and sophisticated motorbikes completing the automotive ecosystem. At the heart of this automotive hub, two global titans, the BMW Group and the commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN, have planted their roots, alongside a dynamic network of suppliers, experts, innovators and service providers. This extensive network includes renowned enterprises such as Knorr-Bremse, Osram, iwis, Webasto, F. X. Meiller, Infineon, Assystem Denso Automotive, Magna Steyr and ESG. In this portfolio of businesses, we also have to include AUDI AG, which operates out of nearby Ingolstadt. It's no surprise that one in four German cars rolls off the assembly lines in Bavaria. That’s an impressive number that’s expected to remain constant in the years ahead even as the automotive industry as a whole moves away from the challenges posed by the pandemic and supply shortages. With approximately 50,000 employees, Munich's automotive industry generated a remarkable revenue of 3.913 billion euros in 2016. Demonstrating its global reach, more than 80 percent of this revenue came from exports. The region is also one of eight model areas pioneering electric mobility and hosts a digital proving ground for self-driving cars on the A9 Autobahn, connecting Munich and Nuremberg. Munich's automotive prowess serves as a testament to the city's dedication to innovation, precision, and performance. With a heritage as rich and dynamic as the vehicles that grace its streets, Munich continues to drive the future of automotive excellence on a global scale.
