WTM London is one of the biggest moments for the tourist industry in the UK and is scheduled to take place in London in early November. The annual trade fair runs for a total of three days and is open to only industry professionals. Reed Exhibitions acts in the capacity of the official organiser and the event itself is based in ExCeL London. The first day is reserved for invitation-only guests, and working hours are from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. The next two days begin at 10:00 am and conclude at 6:00 pm. WTM London operates on an impressive scale, and it’s safe to say it opens exhibitors to the rest of the world. There are 5000 exhibitors and destinations at any given edition and the audience is even bigger reaching 50,000 trade visitors and counting. All in all, 182 countries are represented in total – with destinations including Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Seychelles. That’s just scratching the surface. The Buyer’s Club enjoys a roster of 9,000 senior buyers with a big purchasing power and business negotiations are on the table. Visitors come from 38 sectors in total, which include cruise lines, airlines, hotels, meeting venues, event management companies, reservations companies, tour operators, heritage sites, golf resorts and luxury hotel chains. The list is long. There are also motivational speakers, entrepreneurs, leadership figures, journalists, and even students.
WTM London 2021
WTM London 2021 took place from 01.11.2021 to 03.11.2021. The event featured a live exhibition as well as a complimentary digital trade show. ExCeL London, which was outfitted with the latest and strictest Covid-19 safety precautions, hosted the expo. Social distancing and the necessity that participants present 3G papers before entering the venue were among the implemented measures. Despite the ongoing pandemic, 4,000 buyers, 110 expert speakers and around 1,000 exhibitors attended the event. Over 140 countries were represented among the participants.
WTM London 2022
WTM London 2022 received more than 35,800 visitors with 25% being global travel purchase experts, over 3,000 exhibitors and more than 1,500 media experts. The event was held as a live trade show between 07.11.2022 and 09.11.2022 in ExCeL London and did not feature Covid-19 safety measures. This was due to the country removing its pandemic-related limitations.
