Update for MACH Birmingham

MACH Birmingham 2024 will take place between April 15th and April 19th, 2024. The edition will be conducted as a live trade event at the NEC Birmingham. The United Kingdom does not have Covid-19 safeguards and travel limitations in place. Attendees will, however, be strongly encouraged to follow advice, such as wearing medical masks in enclosed areas.

MACH has been the engine that drives innovation within the manufacturing technologies industry in the UK and a major source for international business and collaboration for over 100 years. The very first edition of this international trade show was held in 1912. It has since become the best event in the industry for exhibitors. This is due to the event allowing them to stay ahead of their competition, drive up sales, meet with the right sort of potential business partners and launch new products to raise their profile. The product portfolio is quite extensive as it covers machine tools, factory automation, mechanical handling, storage technology, CAD, CAM, control equipment, laser technology, 3D printing, cutting tools, metal forming machines, shaping tools, sheet metal processing and metalworking machinery.

MACH is an international trade show, which takes the stage in Birmingham, UK every two years at the end of April. Editions have the duration of four days at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and are put together by the Manufacturing Technologies Association. Admission is given only to industry professionals and working hours for all four days are as follows: 08:30 am until 18:00 pm, but be sure to check on the day as the hours are subject to change due to programming. The NEC occupies an excellent location in Birmingham and enjoys regular public transport service thanks to the proximity to the Birmingham International Railway Station. In addition to train service, you also benefit from a choice in bus lines. As far as flying in goes, the Birmingham Airport has a direct connection to the NEC through the free air-rail link.

What Are People Saying?

  • “It has been brilliant to be here at MACH the UK’s largest manufacturing event. The focus for me here is how do we apply, modern digital technologies to help drive the next industrial revolution here in the UK? And at MACH you can see masses of technology doing exactly that. I think the MTA are doing a brilliant job promoting these technologies,” – Juergen Maier, UK CEO, Siemens;
  • “In terms of contacts and leads we generate MACH is the biggest show for us and that’ll be continuing in 2020,” - Dan Stephenson, Sales Manager, Pryor Marking;
  • “We’ve been doing the show for 20 years now and this has to be by far the best one we’ve attended. Normally we wouldn’t sell a machine straight off the stand that’s quite rare for us. But, this week we’ve sold four of the five machines we’ve exhibited, which is incredible for us being a small company,” - Martin Elliott, MD, Delapena Group
