RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2024
Between 09.05.2024 and 12.05.2024, the RHS Malvern Spring Festival will take place. The Three Counties Showground will act as the event site for the live rendition. The United Kingdom currently has no national or travel limitations regarding Covid-19. Participants will be advised to perform precautionary measures such as frequent hand sanitation.
Introduction
RHS Malvern Spring Festival follows in the tradition of other gardening shows in the UK, but has had a unique journey since in recent history. Before 2014, the trade show marked a decided drop in attendance numbers, but following a full rebrand and new marketing it has since grown to be more than just a small-time event in the Midlands and South West region. Today it’s fairer to say that RHS Malvern Spring Festival has fully transition into a massive gardening and food festival that often sees a higher-end audience. As to what you can find at the show – flowers, plants, tools, gardening supplies, saplings, seeds, decoration, accessories, local produce and artisanal goods!
Logistics
The RHS Malvern Spring Festival occurs annually at the perfect moment, when the spring’s in full swing. This usually means at the start of May and editions run for a total of four days. The location is the town of Malvern, UK in Worcestershire and the venue is the Three Counties Showground on Malvern Hills. The trade show is the collaboration between the Royal Horticultural Society and Three Counties, and opens its ground to the general public as well as professionals. Opening hours are from 09:00 am in the morning until 18:00 pm in the afternoon. Malvern itself is best connected by railroad with two stops at Great Malvern and Malvern Link, and there is also bus service. The closes airport is the Birmingham Airport located approximately an hour away by car.
What You Can Expect as an Exhibitor
- Having a stand at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival grants you essential visibility on the ground as the people that come to the trade show are mostly locals, so you’re able to better connect and generate direct sales and leads altogether. The show is essential for the growth of local brands and the economy in the county;
- The RHS Malvern Spring Festival has found the perfect way to distinguish different areas on the showground and direct footfall naturally, so everyone has an equal opportunity to be seen and showcase their products. There are Plant Arcades, the Flower Marquee, Show Gardens and a thriving Shopping area;
- RHS Malvern Spring Festival attracts top talent in the gardening and flower industry – not surprising in on itself. Previous editions have seen special guests such as Chris Beardshaw, Alan Titchmarsh, Lee Connelly and Carol Klein. These are a small sampling of a long list, which further engages with the imagination and passion of visitors from gardening and flowers.
Audience & Statistics
The showground is open to everyone so in its essence, the RHS Malvern Spring Festival focuses on community and strengthening the relationship between exhibitors and visitors from Malvern as well as the surrounding towns in the county. Organisers have revealed a rather in-depth breakdown of the show’s demographics. First – the numbers. Each edition in the past several years has been well-visited with over 100,000 visitors on average. They mostly tend to be enthusiast gardeners, families with children, couples and members of the RHS (a whopping 20% of all visitors, in fact).
The average age is 52 years, and the gender breakdown of visitors skews towards women with just about 73%. In terms of exhibitors, there’s a great variety. Of course, the predominant groups are nurseries and plant centres, but there are also manufacturers of artisanal crafts, food items and growers. The main partners of the RHS Malvern Spring Festival are Great Little Breaks, HCR and Berrington Pure Spring Water.
